Money saving for the skint
It seems as though nobody has any money nowadays. Which is hardly surprising when you consider the financial climate, and the fact that everyone is keeping their purse strings drawn tight.
Or at least we try to keep our money saved. Either in a savings account or with BullionVault Silver. Wouldn’t the world be so much simpler if we didn’t have debts, bills and necessities to buy? Earning money is hard work. Keeping hold of it is even harder. There are plenty of ways you could be saving your money though. You just need to use your imagination.
The first thing you need to do is clear your most expensive debts. Tackling the little ones does seem less daunting, but it is the big ones crippling your finances. Try to pay off that credit card bill as quickly as possible. If you cannot entirely that month, put money aside exclusively for this purpose.
You are most likely throwing a lot of change down the drain with the amount of energy you use in your house. Try and turn the TV off if you aren’t using it. Turn the heat off for long periods of time in the summer. Flick the light switch off as you leave a room. You’ll notice a significant decrease in your electricity, water and gas bills if you do so.
Pay as you go
Have you ever considered a pay-as-you-go mobile phone instead a contract? You’ll have more control over the amount you spend every month, instead of a fixed sum contract that eats away at your bank account. Just don’t natter too much on the phone and you’re all set.
Use a shopping list of food and toiletries you must buy and stick to it. Don’t allow yourself to be dazzled by tempting offers that are not on the list. You could even make yourself a realistic but strict budget to abide by.
