On January 27th, our Creative Director & Co-Founder, Dinesh Boaz, represented the United States as an X Photographer at the FUJIFILM X Summit Global 2021. Dinesh was selected out of a group of over 70 Fujifilm photographers and presented new work, discussed product launches and shared his unique approach to photography from helicopters.
In just 4.5 years, Dinesh’s photography has taken him on helicopter shoots across Israel, Iceland, Greenland, Utah, Florida, Formula 1 and more. He has been published, won awards, including a National Geographic Grand prize, had 3 solo exhibitions, been represented by fine art galleries, and is now a FUJIFILM X-Photographer (a title that only 15 other photographers in the USA hold).
During a time when many of us work from home and our work lives often spill over into our personal lives, pursuing outside passions has become a necessity. Throughout 2020, Dinesh participated in three helicopter photoshoots in Los Angeles, New York City, and various locations in Utah. One of Dinesh’s aerial photographs, in collaboration Future First Studio, won first place in the OUTFRAME 2020 photo contest and was featured in Times Square and on billboards across the country. Part of the prize also included a month of free advertising for a nonprofit of choice. Dinesh and the team selected Color of Change as the charity. Dinesh has used the months during the pandemic as an opportunity to further his personal expansion and amplify his creativity. In a time when so many of us have fallen into the routine of sacrificing work-life balance, Dinesh continues to develop his passion for photography.
In addition to representing the US at the X Summit Global, Dinesh was featured in a FUJIFILM article and video highlighting his creative process and photo inspiration.
