Income Report April 2012

I have been working online for about two years now, mostly doing (very) small time affiliate sales through blogs and websites. About two months ago, I decided to launch a freelance ghostwriting business because I was sick and tired of relying so heavily on Google for my income.
It was an AWESOME business move for me, because the most recent algorithm change, fondly named Penguin wiped out my sites and earnings. If I had not taken those steps I would be crying right now, but instead I am really excited about the future.
I opened the doors of The Content Easy Button a bit over a month ago. The orders were non existent until I promoted my services in a small private forum. Now, I have some steady customers, and I found a niche to work within ghostwriting.
I am specializing in Kindle books and pdf e-books.
I have the Kindle books down to a science now, including the formatting which I do for my customers. This sets me apart from the rest of the pack, as no other ghostwriters that I have come across offer the formatting, and it can be a pain.
After the Penguin update, a lot of marketers are looking to move into the Kindle market and away from Google, so I think my timing is perfect.
Income for April 2012
Ghostwriting- $634 (keep in mind this is only my first month, I have already passed this number for May, I’m hoping to double the earnings)
Affiliate sales- $164 (Penguin wiped me out, I have only earned $7 so far for May)
