CCI member, Geraint Lewis, has been invited to lecture on theoretical astrophysics at the 2008 Harley Wood Winter School, to be held in Freemantle, July 2008. |

Three new PhD students have begun PhD studies at the University of Sydney: Juliana Kwan is examining the influence of dark energy on cosmology, Hugh Garsden is developing a new, parallel microlensing code, and Scott Wales is producing numerical simulations of the decaying dark energy and structure formation. |

CCI member, Geraint Lewis and Chris Fluke, lectured at the inaugural ASA/ANITA Summer School on Relativistic Astrophysics, Bernie, Tasmania. Geraint presented two interactive sessions on gravitational lensing, while Chris presented two sessions on Astrophysical Visualization. |
